Murdoch University provides a wonderful opportunity to experience an Australia, little known to international students and travelers. Students can enjoy the café strip in Fremantle or explore the natural environment; from the sparkling, pristine beaches of the South, to the rugged and remote ‘outback’ of the Kimberley’s in the far North. The university also organizes an adventurous, fun filled 10-day camping expedition in remote Western Australia.

LOCATION

The University is located approximately 20 minutes by car (nine miles) from Perth’s city center and 10 minutes by car (five miles) from the port city of Fremantle. Murdoch makes a difference – many of Murdoch’s research projects have resulted in benefits to society, including plant disease control, animal health, clean air, waste treatment, and environmental technology. The University takes pride in the fact that it has some of the best-qualified academic staff in Australia. With a student population of 14,000, Murdoch is able to support excellent staff-student relations, yet is able to provide state-of-the-art facilities, excellent student services, and a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses ranging from bachelor degrees to masters and PhD’s.

A word from our alumni
"While studying abroad I got great hands-on experiences in broadcasting and producing. This will give me a step up in the working world and something amazing to add to my resume. It also taught me to be more confident on my own. I feel now as if I could do and be anything in the world if I set my mind to it."
