LOCATION

Canberra is an ideal base to explore Australia. The South Coast is only 1.5 hours drive from Canberra where you will find magnificent beaches, lakes and rivers. The area encompasses a range of National Parks and State Forests where there is great camping and hiking away from the crowds. The clubs and restaurants of Melbourne, and Sydney’s city beaches and harbor views are also easily accessible from Canberra, thanks to frequent bus services between the three cities. The Australian Alps or Snowy Mountains are just two-hour drive. The city itself, like many National capitals, is a city you can walk or cycle to explore the many museums, galleries, parks and government buildings. You can visit Australia’s Parliament House, home of the Federal Government, the High Court of Australia, the National Art Gallery and National War Memorial.

ACADEMIC HIGHLIGHTS

Once again in 2012 The Good Universities Guide awarded the University of Canberra the maximum ‘Five Stars for graduates getting a job’ and ‘Five Stars for graduate outcomes.’ It is currently ranked seventh in Australia for Good Teaching and graduates going on to further study, and sixth for Graduate Employability.*

The University is committed to professionally preparing graduates for professional careers in Australia and internationally. Its degrees and qualifications are respected and accepted world-wide, and the University is home to a thriving research culture. Academic standards are high and career results are excellent. Extensive portfolios of undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses are offered by five faculties, Applied Science and Information Sciences & Engineering; Arts and Design; Business Government & Law; Education; and Health.

Located in Canberra, the nation’s capital, and home to its diplomatic community, the University occupies a unique position at the intersection of government policy and corporate endeavour. It prides itself on producing graduates equipped with state of the art knowledge, and professional skills and attitudes.
