Steve Luther is Director of Specialty Programs and Development for GlobaLinks Learning Abroad, and has worked for GlobaLinks Learning Abroad since 2002 in various roles including Regional Director, Short-Term Programs Manager, and Associate Director of Full Degree Marketing. Steve is responsible for a variety of programs in his current role, including development of new academic programs, short-term custom programs, curriculum integration, faculty partnerships and outreach and advisor site visits. He has a long background in marketing, public relations, program development, special event management and communications planning. Prior to joining GlobaLinks Learning Abroad, he held marketing and communications management positions for the Information Technology Institute, Colorado Municipal League, Strategic Medical Communcations, Rockville General Hospital and the Eastern Connecticut Health Network.
Steve travels quite a bit in his role, visiting colleges and universities throughout the United States to meet with faculty members, academic departments, study abroad offices and students. He has been to Australia five times and New Zealand twice as part of his job, and personally has visited a number of European countries from Ireland and the United Kingdom countries to Latvia and Estonia, as well Ecuador, Panama and Canada. In his spare time, Steve enjoys photography including printing and framing outdoor and landscape scenes from his adventures in the American West, outdoor pursuits such as hiking, camping, snowshoeing and slithering through slot canyons, and traveling as much as he can domestically and internationally.
