The Faculty of Law, Business and the Creative Arts offers internationally recognised degrees that challenge students and expose them to contemporary issues, the latest research and new ideas. Each degree focuses on learning outcomes that have professional relevance and practical application.

Located across two campuses in the tropical north of the state of Queensland, our school offers a broad leading edge range of business related disciplines and degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
 

The School offers a first degree of study through the innovative Bachelor of Business. Features of this degree include:

• A set of six first year core subjects including a Personal and Professional Business skills subject and a subject about managing the customer experience. All business degree students study these six subjects on all campuses.
• A selection of Majors including Accounting, Financial Management, Marketing, International Business, Hospitality Management, Economics and Regional Development, Tourism Management, Management and Entrepreneurship, and Human Resource Management.
• Students can select up to two Majors in their second and third year of study.
• The Bachelor of Business is fully accredited with the CPA and ICAA, therefore it is ideal for students wishing to pursue a career in the accounting and finance sectors.
• Students can elect to take a ‘work experience’ subject to link with their employment during their studies.

At the advanced Masters level the school offers:

• A Masters of Professional Accounting (MPA) fully approved through industry accreditation.
• A Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a selection of leading edge Majors such as the popular Dispute Resolution.
• A Masters of Dispute Resolution
• A Masters of Economics
• A Masters of Tourism including a Graduate certificate of eco-tourism.

In addition to our range of coursework degrees students are studying through our school Honours program and at PhD level through a number of leading academics.
