Nearly all of the universities in Australia, New Zealand and the U.K. offer a small number of scholarships. Scholarships are merit based, meaning a reward for work well-done, and thus usually given after a student arrives at university. We encourage you to apply, but remember they are very competitive. Students should not plan to consider a scholarship as a major source of funding.
We recommend students go to the scholarship, faculty and international pages of the university website for further information on scholarship opportunities.
We also encourage students to consider other information sources to locate scholarships such as your library, bookstore, internet, local service organizations such as Rotary or Knights of Columbus, and professional organizations in your area and home country which may offer scholarships.

Australia Endeavour Awards
The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are the Australian Government’s internationally competitive, merit-based scholarship programme that provides up to AUD$272,500 for study, research or professional development opportunities between Australia and the world.
Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship provides up to AUD$272,500 for eligible non-Australians including the Americans and Canadians to undertake a postgraduate qualification at a Masters or PhD level either by coursework or research in any field in Australia for up to four (4) years.

Marshall Scholarships for the United Kingdom
Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to undertake a degree in the United Kingdom. Up to forty scholars are selected each year to study at the graduate level at a UK institution in any field of study.
Open only to United States citizens who (at the time they take up their Scholarship) hold a first degree from an accredited four-year college or university in the United States with a minimum GPA of 3.7. Scotland Saltire Scholarships
Scotland's Saltire Scholarships (SSS) is a substantial programme of scholarships, offered on a matched funding basis between the Government and Scottish Higher Education Institutions for programs promoting creative industries, life sciences, technology, financial services and renewable and clean energy. INTERNATIONAL DISCOVERER'S SCHOLARSHIP THEME
This scholarship is designed to make study at Murdoch University more affordable in the current economic climate. Murdoch University would like to ensure that in uncertain global economic times, where never seen before currency fluctuations are taking place, that an international education experience is made more affordable for prospective international students.
The scholarship scheme applies to a wide range of Murdoch courses at the undergraduate level. Depending on the course selected, the scheme allows for a reduction in annual course fees, by between AUD $500 and AUD $4,750.
Part scholarships are available to all students who apply for entry into an eligible undergraduate, postgraduate or study abroad program at Murdoch University for commencement in either semester one or two in 2013. Master of International Studies United States Scholarship
The Alumni of the University of Otago in America, Inc. (AUOA), have generously donated a scholarship (one per year) for a student to undertake study towards a Master of International Studies at the University of Otago. The first application round closes on 31st of May, and applications will be accepted for a Semester 2, 2014 or Semester 1, 2015 start. The scholarship does not completely cover the tuition fee for this 12 month coursework Master degree, but does cover most of it. The scholarship is worth $21,500 NZD.

The deadline has now passed for the September scholarship scheme, which this year attracted more than 650 applications for increased scholarships of £3,500. Applicants will have been notified of the outcome by the end of June. The January 2014 scholarship scheme will open in mid September.
