On this Page, you will find the basic application requirements for: Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Australia and New Zealand Bachelor's degrees in the United Kingdom Master's degree in the U.K. Degree Transfer Students from Canadian Colleges APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR BACHELOR'S AND MASTER'S DEGREES IN AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND The following is a list of basic entry requirements for most bachelor's and master's degree programs. Be sure and check the university prospectus and the Degree Finder to determine if you will need any additional items. You will send all of these documents to us. 1. APPLICATION APPLICATION FEE, if applicable. See chart for more information. 2. TRANSCRIPTS If you have completed your Bachelor's or Master's: - Official Undergraduate transcript (This includes all colleges and/or universities you attended, especially if you have transfer credit)
- Those who have completed a graduate degree need to include their graduate transcripts in addition to their undergraduate transcripts
If you have completed some college/university coursework: - If you have more than 30 college credits, you just need undergraduate transcripts
- If you have fewer than 30 college credits, you need both undergraduate and high school transcripts
- U.S. students will also need an official SAT or ACT score report
- U.S. students applying to the following universities need to provide AP exam score reports from high school
- University of Melbourne
- University of Sydney
- 1 AP exam with a minimum score of 4
- University of Western Australia
- 2 AP exams with a minimum score of 3; 1 must be AP English Language or Literature
If you have completed high school: - Official high school transcripts (U.S. students will also need to include an official SAT or ACT score report)

3. CERTIFIED COPY OF DIPLOMA Only required for Macquarie University and University of Sydney applicants. Must be notarized to be considered "certified." 4. STANDARDIZED TEST SCORES Click here for information. 5. PASSPORT COPY - For New Zealand schools, the photocopy must be notarized to be considered "certified." This is required for all New Zealand students in order to process the application.
- For Australian Schools, a photocopy is fine unless otherwise noted. However, Macquarie University requires the photocopy to be notarized.
6. LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION, RESUME/CV, PERSONAL STATEMENT - Only required if listed in the admission requirements of the prospectus.
- Referee reports are required for some research degrees, as well as various graduate law, business, marine science, and health science programs.
- Letters of recommendation must be originals.
Back to Top APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES IN THE U.K. When applying to an undergraduate degree program in the U.K., students apply via UCAS. The steps to complete this are below. - Official SAT/AP scores direct from College Board, OR Official ACT scores
- Photocopy of your Passport
- Letter of Recommendation Emailed to us by your Referee (fulldegree@globalinksabroad.org)
STEP 1: Go to http://www.ucas.ac.uk/, and click on APPLY. STEP 2: Register to create a Login Username and Password. You will receive a confirmation email at the end of this process. Forward this email, along with your Personal ID, Username and Password, to your Full Degree Coordinator, or fulldegree@globalinksabroad.org. STEP 4: Ensure that you have typed in Buzzword “GlobaLinks2013” to allow us to follow up with the universities about your application status. STEP 5: Make sure to nominate your Degree Coordinator in the “Nominated Access” section. US Students should nominate “Jodi Reesman” CA Students should nominate “Jodi Reesman” “Relationship to you” should be marked: EuroLearn Degree Coordinator STEP 6: Complete the UCAS application, and make sure to include your payment details before submitting. Let your coordinator know when you have submitted your application. - When GlobaLinks Learning Abroad has received and processed your application(s), you will receive an email update. Please check your email (as provided to GlobaLinks Learning Abroad via your MyLearn registry) regularly.
- Application status updates will also be viewable via your MyLearn account. Please check your MyLearn account for confirmation on which materials have arrived, and any important updates.
- Your MyLearn account will also provide you a valuable “To Do List” and Participant Guide to assist you in the timely completion of all pre-departure procedures and processes. Most FAQs can be answered with the use of these tools.

Back to top APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR POSTGRADUATE DEGREES IN THE U.K. Applicants for U.K. postgraduate programs must submit the following materials: - Completed application form (print, sign, and mail to our office)
- Degree transcripts
- If your degree was from an overseas institution, you should supply an official transcript of your marks for each year of your studies, acknowledgement of a cumulative GPA (of no less than a 3.0/4.0 (75%) for University of Stirling, Kingston, and Swansea; and 3.2/4.0 (80%) for Queen Mary and University of Strathclyde) and a copy of your degree certificate together with a certified translation if the document is not in English. Please note that original documentation will be required before you enroll.
- Kingston and Queen Mary also advise international students to include high school transcripts.
- A copy of the personal details page of your valid passport
- Two references. Please provide two academic references (provided on institutional letterhead with full contact details noted and the original signature of the referee). No personal or character references should be submitted. If you have left university it is acceptable to provide one academic and one employer reference.
- Statement of purpose
Your 500-word statement of purpose should explain why you want to study your proposed course and how it will help your life and career. This should typically be one side of an 8 ½ x 11 paper. (Optional for Queen Mary) - Curriculum Vitae (CV)/Resume (not required for University of Strathclyde or University of Stirling)
In addtion, University of Stirling requires a translated version of your transcrips (if necessary) and evidence of English language proficiency (if relevant). If you are applying to a PhD/MPhil degree, you will need to submit a 1500 word research proposal. More details can be found on the application. Back to top APPLICATION AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR DEGREE TRANSFER STUDENTS FROM CANADIAN COLLEGES To be accepted into most universities that have degree transfer/articulation partnerships with colleges in Canada, you will need: - A minimum of 65% or 2.6 GPA on a 4.0 scale cumulative average or higher depending on the minimum qualifying marks outlined in degree transfer partnership
- A completed diploma, advanced diploma, graduate certificate or whatever award is specified in the degree transfer partnership that will allow transfer credit to be applied
- A completed application
- Official College Transcript (This includes all colleges and/or universities you attended)
- Letters of recommendation, Resume/CV, Personal Statement
- Only required if listed in the admission requirements of the university prospectus
