PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS Studying international relations opens up a wide range of career options in the political, economic and cultural fields such as foreign affairs, trade, defence, international organisations (such as the UN), the media and more. International Relations programs are innovative, forward-looking and attuned to the dynamics of the globalising world and its multiple diplomatic channels. Students find the programs immensely practical and rigorous in its teaching of contemporary, theoretical and cultural issues. Students engage in simulations, think-tank and scenario exercises. Bond’s International Relations professors and teaching fellows include a former Asian foreign correspondent, a business leader who trained diplomats from the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and former members of the Australian Institute of International Affairs. Their in-depth insight into real world foreign affairs in action brings an extra dimension to theoretical discussions in the classroom. International Relations has scope for many different internship and work experience opportunities, many of which are administered through the Faculty. Practical experience is also gained through in-country experience, internships or institutional (e.g. United Nations) visits. | The Bond Difference Small classes with one-on-one access to academics, state-of-the-art facilities and a culturally diverse student community are just some of the advantages Bond has to offer.
