PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS The four year Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Victoria has three specialisations that students can choose from: Human Genetics; Molecular Pharmacology & Medicinal Chemistry; Molecular Pathology. A Bachelor of Biomedical Science provides entry into research in human genetics, clinical biochemistry, immunology, molecular pathology, pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry, human fertility and aging. There is also potential for graduate entry to medical school. The BMSC is a step toward postgraduate qualifications in the above fields and may lead to qualifications in genetic counselling and public and environmental health. The School also offered postgraduate qualifications in this area, including a Master of Biomedical Science which normally consists of Part I postgraduate coursework and Part II research thesis. Research areas with the School of Biological Science include: Proteomics and Genomics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cell and Tissue Function, Neuroscience, Molecular Evolution, Biodiversity, Conservation, Ecology and Restoration, Marine Biology, Reproductive Biology. | Medical Degrees in New Zealand Medical Degrees in Australia |
