LOCATION

QUT has Brisbane’s only two full service inner-city campuses.  QUT’s Gardens Point campus is located on the riverfront in Brisbane’s Central Business District. Its inner-city location reinforces our links with business and industry while creating a dynamic environment for students.

The Kelvin Grove campus is an award-winning urban development, located only two kilometres north of the Brisbane city centre. Students can easily walk to the city or University and benefit from purpose-built student accommodation and a range of facilities within a convenient village atmosphere.

Facilities across both campuses include a library, computing laboratories and wireless internet zones, a cafeteria, student counseling and health services, a pool, gymnasium, squash/rebound volleyball courts, a pre-school and toddler centre, student administration services, optometry, podiatry and human movement clinics, and dance, drama, music and visual arts studios and theatres.  A free campus shuttle bus for QUT students and staff connects both campuses.

QUT’s Faculty of Business is a member of a select group of business schools globally to be granted all three leading international accreditation symbols of excellence.
  • QUT has been acknowledged for comprehensive research excellence in an assessment of all Australian universities, with a ranking of world standard or above in more than three-quarters of its research fields. With more than 100 current collaborative research projects presently being undertaken in more than 50 countries, QUT has a strong track record in solving problems globally.

UNIVERSITY LIFE

The best part about studying abroad is experiencing a different culture, so QUT offers a range of recreational services to ensure students make the most of all aspects of campus life.

Why not join one of QUT’s 70 different clubs such as abseiling, diving, bushwalking, cycling, and rollerblading, just to name a few…or get involved in a rugby league or cricket team and learn more about the local sporting culture. Take full advantage of our on-campus facilities and swim in the indoor swimming pool, or use the squash and netball courts, gymnasiums, athletic fields, or health and fitness centers.

Brisbane is the ideal city to base yourself to discover all the wonders of the east coast of Queensland. Just an hour south of Brisbane is the world famous Gold Coast with its famed beaches, theme parks, shopping and dining. Head an hour and a half north of Brisbane to the Sunshine coast for a quieter pace. QUT’s International Student Services organises short trips and weekend activities for international students. Trips include surfing at Stradbroke Island, hiking in Lamington National Park and shopping in Noosa. All trips are made for the budget conscious student with prices set to cover the cost of running the trip.

*The Triple Crown of accreditations means we have international accreditation from the world’s foremost accrediting bodies – AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. Just 1% of business schools worldwide have this Triple Crown endorsement, so it puts us among a select group of institutions globally and means the Business School is benchmarked against the best in the world. In order to achieve accreditation, faculties are examined in depth by academics from business schools around the world who examine all aspects of their staff qualifications, programmes, planning and management. In addition, reviewers interview staff and students to ensure they’re receiving consistent and valid information.
