As a key member of the Australian Technology Network, a prestigious coalition of five leading Australian universities, the UTS-Sydney offers contemporary and innovative education in the centre of Australia’s most exciting city, Sydney. In 2008, UTS was rated top for Learning and Teaching by the Australian Government (Australian Commonwealth Government Learning and Teaching Performance Fund 2008). This means that UTS is one of only two Australian universities to be rated top for all teaching discipline areas. UTS courses are developed in consultation with industry partners and leading professionals, and provide a unique balance between theory and practice.  

 

 

LOCATION

UTS is located in central Sydney, adjacent to the city’s vibrant commercial and cultural hub and surrounded by the cosmopolitan districts of Darling Harbor and Chinatown. A network of creative inner city villages is a short walk away. An underground walkway connects UTS to Sydney’s Central Railway station providing students with direct access to the city’s beaches and outer suburbs through Sydney’s public transport network.

 

 

 

ACADEMIC HIGHLIGHTS 

Course content and form is shaped by current and former Chief Executive Officers, Directors and Board members of companies such as Commonwealth Bank, Caltex, and Macquarie Bank. Information Technology: UTS ranked #83 in the world’s top technology Universities. (Times Higher Education Supplement World’s Top Universities 2006), received the highest number of research grants from the Australian Research Council in 2006. Law: Practical Legal Training program in the Bachelor of Laws prepares students for professional practice as lawyers, Australia’s first Master’s-level legal qualification for those seeking to practice in Common Law jurisdictions. Science: Diverse Bachelor’s and postgraduate degrees in traditional Chinese medicine, biotechnology, nanotechnology and physical, chemical, environmental, biomedical, health, and mathematical sciences. Recent redevelopment project means UTS has the newest Science facility in Australia.

 

 

AACSB ACCREDITATION

The university is AACSB accredited. AACSB International is an association of more than 1,100 educational institutions, businesses, and other organizations in 70 countries, devoted to the advancement of higher education in management education. The GlobaLinks Learning Abroad Degree Program Team Coordinators manage the student admission and pre-departure processes to our Australian, New Zealand and U.K. member universities.

We are here to provide students with a list of bundled services, including help housing, travel, and living abroad. We work with students from the time they begin their search for a program until they depart for their degree abroad.
