Kingston University London is well recognized for the strength of the academic departments, the quality of instruction, and the proximity to London. With about 22,000 students, it is the
largest provider of higher education in southwest London. Kingston University seeks to establish a learning culture in which teaching and research of the highest quality are able to flourish equally. It aims to combine respect for traditional academic values with enthusiasm for novelty and innovation in higher education. Research at Kingston keeps teaching up-to-date with the most recent developments, and many lecturers feed knowledge from industry or the professions into their teaching.

LOCATION
The university is based in Kingston upon Thames, a busy riverside town on the borders of London and Surrey. Kingston upon Thames has something for everyone, including a wide selection of shops, bars, restaurants and pubs, easy access to beautiful countryside, such as Richmond Park and Hampton Court and a rich history dating back to Anglo-Saxon times.
The university has four distinct campuses, each with its own character, and are linked by a free intersite bus service.

- Kingston Hill – a modern hillside campus set in landscaped gardens
- Knights Park – a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in a riverside setting
- Roehampton Vale – a modern building close to Richmond Park
Central London is just 25 minutes away by train. There is also quick road access to the south and west of England and easy access to Heathrow and Gatwick airports for international travel.
ACADEMIC HIGHLIGHTS
Kingston University has roots going back 100 years. Academic staff are divided into seven faculties, and students benefit from top-quality teaching. In 2008, The Sunday Times placed Kingston University 32nd out of 120 U.K. universities for ‘teaching excellence’ – on a level with older universities including St Andrews, Durham, Bristol and Edinburgh.
Many courses at Kingston University are vocational. This means they are specifically designed to prepare you for your chosen career, and offer you the chance to gain valuable work experience in industry or commerce. All degrees teach students work-related careers, such as career management, IT and communication, numeracy and teamwork.
During your time at Kingston, the Careers Service is always available, offering plenty of help and advice, access to its library of resource material, and the chance to attend employer recruitment seminars. Central London is just 25 minutes away by train so you are within easy reach of a wide range of employers.
