Bond University - Degree Programs

Bond University

Bond University has cemented its place as a leading Australian university, starring in the 2007 Good Universities Guide Rankings. The independent consumer guide released in August provides ratings, rankings, comment and information about all Australian higher education institutions and helps thousands of students to make one of the most important decisions of their lives. Bond received the maximum five-star rating in nine categories, including the all-important criterion of graduate satisfaction, teaching quality, graduate starting salaries, and staff-to-student ratio. The university’s strong performance also saw it receive a five-star overall graduate rating, placing it among the top 20% of all Australian universities.

Location

Bond University is set on a 66-hectare campus at Robina on Queensland’s Gold Coast. The Gold Coast is one hour south of Brisbane, the capital state of Queensland. With miles of surf beach, amazing year round weather, lush green rainforest, world-class golfing greens, and world famous theme parks, the Gold Coast is one of the most popular Australian travel destinations for international and domestic travelers. The Gold Coast has been identified as one of the most desirable places in the world to live ranked on political, social, economic and environmental factors, personal safety, and health. The population of the Gold Coast tops 455,000 and is one of Australia’s fastest growing communities.

Academic Highlights

Bond University offers a personalized academic environment that enables graduates to exceed the outer limits of their potential. Degree programs at Bond can be commenced in January, May, or September each year. By undertaking three semesters per year instead of the usual two, graduates finish their studies sooner. Most bachelor's degrees are completed in two years and most graduate degrees in just one. Combine this advantage with Bond’s commitment to opening doors to blue chip employers and it becomes clear that students graduate with a clear competitive advantage over their public university peers. With access to unparalleled academic and technological resources on Bond’s world-class Gold Coast campus, students thrive in smaller study groups where eminent professors and industry-experienced lecturers know them by name. Bond offers the smallest class sizes in Australia with an academic to student ratio of 11:1. Bond has four faculties: Business, Technology, and Sustainable Development; Law; Humanities and Social Sciences; Health Sciences and Medicine Popular study programs within the faculties include: business, commerce, urban development, urban planning, sports managements, sports science, psychology, international relations, film and television, communications, medicine, exercise science, physiotherapy, economics, diplomacy, advertising, and information technology – to name just a few.
